TenCate Grass has been rooted in Nijverdal for centuries. At the R&D and production site in northern Nijverdal, an old building is currently being demolished and a new factory built. It’s an investment that promotes the rich industrial tradition of the area, but fuses it with hypermodern production technology.

The new factory is the model of efficiency. With 38,300 square metres of warehousing space, 2,681 square metres of offices and 10,000 square metres of outdoor terrain, the artificial grass manufacturer is getting all the room it needs to continue to grow. Furthermore, the new factory uses considerably less water and energy than the building it’s replacing – a win for the environment and the company wallet.

The project is being paired with 300 existing roles, as well as 50 to 100 indirect jobs in supply chains. The building works start in September 2025 with delivery foreseen for mid-2026. Nijverdal is therefore getting to keep one of its industrial anchors while also consolidating its position as a centre for innovative production.
